Most of us who practice or work in California don't think much about the federal minimum wage. That's because California's minimum wage is far higher than the federal standard. Those of you not subject to California's $8.00 minimum may be interested in the upcoming increase to the federal minimum. The FLSA minimum wage will rise $5.85 to $6.55 per hour on July 24, 2008.
